Peter VonGrey
Introduction
Hi! My name is Peter VonGrey.
I grew up in Santa Cruz, California, loving any chance to get outdoors whatever the weather. My family moved to Oak Harbor, Washington in 1989, and I was involved in youth group as I finished High School. As I look back I can honestly say that my youth pastor had the biggest influence in my life. I am so thankful for the effort he put into building a relationship with me. I really felt valued.
As I have had the opportunity to serve the youth group at my home church in Burlington, Washington, my goal has been to build lasting, real relationships with students, modeling Jesus Christ. It has been a privilege to see them graduate, go to college, get married, move into their careers, etc., etc. It's interesting to observe their lives and the decisions they make beyond my influence, but I know and trust in an amazing and awesome God and I know that His plans for them are not my plans!
I am excited to be working with Youth Dynamics and to have the opportunity to focus even moreso on relationship-building with young people.
I am married to Rachelle and have four children: Caleb, Mekayla, Benjamin and Amelia. We have lived in Burlington Washington for 10 years and attend His Place Church. We are involved in a pre-youth group called Studio-A (3rd -6th grade) and also lead worship clubhouse on Sunday mornings for the children's church(puppets and singing).
