Intro
As a native to Anacortes, I have been aware of and involved with YD on some level for most of my life. I hoped deep down that I would "one day" end up working for YD, but my life choices did not reflect that desire, and I spent many years walking apart from God and His direction. When God called me at age 24 it was finally for real. He gave me a desire to work with teens and share life with them. I believe my experiences, mistakes and challenges are minstry tools, and that God will redeem my past, present and future through the work I am allowed to do with teens.
I praise God for His perfect timing! He is so faithful to set right all our wrongs and turn misery into beauty. I believe He can do that for each teen out there, and my desire is to share that with them. Along with my husband Rich, I also desire to bring them into relationship with as many Christian adults as I can and will be networking with adults to help them realize God's calling in their lives to reach out to today's generation.
Rich and I had been praying since we got married for a ministry that we could do as a team. We are thrilled that God has called us here, and are taking the challenge head on as the first married couple to ever come on full-time staff at YD!
