About Me

My story begins in Anaheim, CA where I was born and raised. I grew up always knowing about Christ, but after the death of my step father really had a hard time believing that God was loving. I grew up going to church with my dad on the weekends and living with my mom who was trying to raise two girls on her own. At the age of 15 I went to summer camp with my church youth group and that is where I learned that Jesus really did love me. At that point I gave my whole self over to Christ. This is not to say that my life has been perfect. I have learned that God is a loving God and will not give me more in life than I can handle. Even though sometimes it feels like it is too much. Over the last few years I have really learned how to trust God in any and all situations and I have learned that I truly love students. I long for youth to know that there is someone that loves them, someone that is there for them, and someone to listen to them. I know that God has given me a heart for youth. My time here in Arlington has truly been amazing. Being able to walk through life with students; learning, laughing, crying and sharing. God has continued to show up in my life and the lives of the students around me. Arlington has also been a blessing as it has raised an amazing man who has become my husband, now as we walk together on this journey of faith, we continue to step into the unknown loving students and learning new things.
