Introduction
There are no coincidences in life. God's hand moves in each of our lives in ways that are sometimes difficult to understand in the moment. Proverbs 20:24 "A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?" God has been at work in my life in just such a way, guiding me along a path for His purpose.
God has created within me passion and abilities for adventure activities in the outdoors. My introduction to white water rafting came through the church. As John Eldridge describes in his book "Wild At Heart," I truly come alive inside when I am experiencing God's creation up close.
More recently, God has been teaching me that now is the time to start giving back. I have been a Christian since age five. During that time, I have received a great deal of nourishment from the church and through other people. I have grown and matured in my Christian walk under their teaching. It is time for me to step out and share with others what God has been speaking into my life.
Often, the most difficult decision in our lives is to surrender ourselves to Him in a real and meaningful way. It is easy to say "here am I, use me" rather than take action to allow God to use me. What that has looked like in my life is giving up control over having a "normal" job with a "normal" paycheck. It is exciting to witness God showing up in a real way to provide for this need. All that is required is to surrender and say yes.
Now is the time and YD Adventures is the place for everything to come together. I am excited to see what God has in store for me as I start on this journey as He continues to direct my steps.
