Introduction
It is in the thicket of wood and beyond the well-traveled road that I most connect with my Father, the Creator of all things. It is there, surrounded by dirt and earth and sky, that I can so easily rejoice and delight in his love.
When I look back on my journey, I can see the way the Lord has been building and equipping me to reach hearts with this very passion. But what a joy it is to be here, and to be used as a vessel of His love and His light. Praise the Lord that He pursued me so strongly, and that I accepted the invitation. Because when the Lord first led me to Youth Dynamics in 2008, I walked away, afraid. In the midst of a thriving career in publishing, I was hesitant to sacrifice my gain. But the Lord worked on my heart. Not five months later, I went on a retreat with the YD Adventures Oregon staff. Captivated by their vision and mission, I finally surrendered my fears and accepted a year-round position doing a range of operations, from marketing and communications to follow-up with the students who make life-changing decisions on their trips.
At this point, I have a mountain of memories to carry with me, tucked into the folds of my heart. I thank the beautiful young people behind those memories, and I thank you for partnering with me to show them the light. I appreciate your prayers, your support and your encouragement.
