Making a Difference in Republic

I bet the first thing you are wondering is where in the world is Republic? Republic in nestled in the foothills of the Kettle Mountain Range in North-Central Washington. It is a small rural community with an elevation of about 2,500 feet and an approximate population of 1,000 people. Republic is located in Ferry County which is the ninth largest county in the state of Washington. There is a world-famous fossil quarry right in town and deer and turkeys are a common sight as one meanders through Republic. I discovered this small town while job searching on the internet about a six years ago! Yup...we are going on six years of living life in Republic! It has been a most amazing adventure that God has had our family on! My oldest daughter, Alicia, met and married the banjo player, Keith, in the bluegrass band that she was a part of and now lives in Colorado Springs with her army husband! My son Ethan is finishing up his first year at Job Corps learning the carpentry trade and my youngest daughter Anna is working hard at trying to finish high school in three years instead of four! We'll see how that goes! Jackie and I are continuing to do the work that God called us to six years ago...building relationships with the young people here in Republic and sharing the Good News! God has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams and we continue to see Him work in the lives of so many young people. But there is still much work to be done...so... I would like to ask you all to join me and my family as we minister to the youth in Republic. Join our team and make a difference in Republic!
