The Salmon River Adventure Base

Youth Dynamics expanded its adventure-based ministry to Grangeville, Idaho to now include the Salmon River Adventure Base. This purchase was of an existing rafting outfitter business, including a 1.22-acre property with outbuildings, rafts, camping equipment, and an unlimited Lower Salmon use permit. Now the project moves into the renovation of the site to provide a launch point for local ministry and an equipment and trip prep site for all Youth Dynamics ministry locations.

This ministry expansion has a three-fold benefit:

  1. The Salmon River is one of Youth Dynamic’s most popular extended adventure trips. This project allows logistical support for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho ministries and future ministry expansion into Montana and beyond. Storing equipment, providing accommodations for out-of-state participants, and just 20 minutes from put-in are just a few of the benefits of having this base.
  2. This property includes an unlimited, unconditional permit which allows Youth Dynamics to run as many trips as staffing and equipment allow. With an unconditional-use permit, the ministry can invite youth on more trips throughout the season and invite current and prospective donors to experience the ministry. This permit allows the opportunity to cast a wider net to a larger population of people and groups, furthering the ministry’s impact.
  3. This property will be the base of operations for many new local ministries in the central Idaho region. Youth Dynamics is praying for opportunities to expand ministry locations, including Grangeville, White Bird, and Clearwater.
