Relational Adventure Youth Ministry Graphic Trash Hand

At the heart of Youth Dynamics Adventures is the desire to encourage youth to discover life in Christ by using adventure and creation as a means to inspire growth and transformation. Our staff will assist you in building a custom facilitated experience for your group that will best meet your goals (e.g. team building, leadership development, discipleship, ‘owning your faith’, creating trust in the group, personal identity in Christ, etc).

We have three Youth Dynamics Adventures Bases (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) that are eager to work with your team to make sure your trip meets the relational and spiritual outcomes that you seek to achieve.

Each base is equipped to provide the essentials (e.g. gear, food, equipment, training, insurance) and will work with your group leader for programming and other logistical needs. In addition, each base provides technical and professional skills to provide a safe and life-changing adventure. With the different landscapes offered by each location, each trip is unique and provides its own special opportunities, challenges, and blessings.

Below is a list of signature trips that each base offers, and if you don’t see the type of trip you want, then we will custom create a trip for you! We are ready for you, all you have to do is call us!

Youth Dynamics Adventures has three bases and although some of the terrain is unique in each state, the same passion to fulfill your trip with your unique goals for your group is the same.

Located in Plain, WA our 158-acre base allows for a spectrum of experiences with the Icicle Canyon and the Wenatchee River make for an ideal space to adventure together.

Located in Canby, Oregon, just outside of Portland, our adventure base explores the peaks of Mount Hood and the twists and turns of the powerful Clackamas and Deschutes rivers.

Located in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, our adventure base allows for a spectrum of experiences in God’s creation placed between the western edge of the Rockies and the Great Basin Desert.

Youth Dynamics Adventures offers several opportunities for individuals to expand their leadership potential and deepen their faith at the same time.

Leadership Pursuit

Leadership Pursuits

This program is designed for students ages 16-19 and runs from August 1-12 each year. Students spend time with our staff walking through life stories, values, and team building activities to help each person understand where their identity lies and how to work well with a team. Students are then challenged through the use of outdoor adventures such as backpacking, rock climbing, inflatable kayaking, mountaineering, and horsemanship. Not only will these adventures create lifelong memories but they will also provide a place for each young leader to process their life and practice leading. Our hope is that each student will come away with a better understanding of their Heavenly Father and vision for their future.

Life and Leadership Training

Life and Leadership Training

This 6-week internship is an opportunity for young adults, ages 16-19,  to work closely with stateside missionaries who use wilderness adventures to share the love of Christ. Students will experience discipleship, adventure, challenge, and leadership. The program runs from July 5 – August 14 each year and students may experience Inflatable Kayaking, Whitewater Rafting, Rock Climbing, Horseback Riding, Backpacking, Hiking, Challenge Course, and Mountaineering. (Note that experiences vary depending on adventure base location.) This is a highly relational and discipleship-based program, emphasizing individual and group exploration of culturally relevant topics and present experiences.

Summer Staff

Each summer Youth Dynamics Adventures hires a select number of talented young adults from all over the world to lead adventure trips for teens in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. The Summer Staff ministry team undergoes extensive training and is an integral part of the summer ministry program, which is committed to reaching today’s youth through dynamic relationships and challenging experiences.

As a member of the Summer Staff team, you will guide teens on a variety of wilderness activities, including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, challenge courses, horseback riding, kayaking, and more. You will work alongside staff and design the ministry program for each trip and assist in the preparations and logistical operations of the trips. As you serve others, you will also be challenged in your own faith as you work in Christian service with a team of believers and experience your own “edge” moments.

Staffing opportunities are available at each of our three Adventure Bases (Idaho, Oregon, and Stonewater in Washington). Each base has a unique focus of ministry, united by the same heart to share Christ with teens.

Rock Instruction

Stonewater Adventure School

Stonewater Adventure School is meant to disciple, equip, and empower adults 18 and older by providing a safe, engaging, and adventure-centric learning environment for self-discovery, leadership, and faith. Stonewater is the ideal location for this 5-week course integrating technical outdoor skills, bible teaching, worship, community, and wilderness adventure. The course is offered twice a year (fall and spring) and aims to increase personal faith, Biblical knowledge and application, self-discovery, personal responsibility, teamwork, and one’s leadership potential.
