Dorothea Bartholomew

Associate Horse Manager, Stonewater Ranch

I am a horse-crazy girl who has grown up to be a horse-crazy lady with a passion for sharing the lessons horsemanship can teach us about faith, ourselves, and God.

My journey into missions began at about ten years old when I first remember a desire to share Jesus with other children and youth. Of course, my path has had many twists and turns since then, including a degree in Natural Horsemanship; training horses and running day camps outside of Seattle, WA.; apprenticing with horsewoman, Alice Trindle; teaching private horsemanship lessons; coaching competitive horse knowledge and judging teams; and, living in a wall tent for a long summer! It is my vision to use horsemanship as a doorway to a lifelong journey of faith and a personal relationship with God. I feel very blessed that I get to do this as my day job.

I am married to an amazing man who likes horses, and we look at life as an adventure to be had. For us, this means frequent drives up unknown dirt roads, afternoons at the park, walks in the woods, and traveling both near and far whenever possible! Parenthood is probably our biggest and dearest adventure; we love it!
