I met Paul Evans, founder of Youth Dynamics, during the summer of 1971 in Anacortes. He was gregarious, full of life, and determined to make a difference in the lives of area youth. I was intrigued by Paul’s ability to capture the attention of young people and especially to engage them in meaningful conversations. He had a knack for drawing out intimate feelings and helping kids process those feelings in a safe space. The impact of his ministry never left me.

Fast forward 50+ years and here I am, a recent widow, still mindful of Paul’s vision and ministry and excited to step into this incredible opportunity to carry his torch to the next generation.

I am mom to three wonderful adult children – all married – and grandma to six! I have arranged my home to make it a welcoming, warm environment where meals are shared, hugs are free, and love is poured out. My home is shared by my younger brother and our golden retriever.

I told God that I want Him to find me in the trenches with dirt on my face and sweat on my brow when He comes! But if He finds me in the whitewater of a raging river or on a glorious mountainside, that would be alright, too.
