Backpacking Mt Hood

Backpacking

Wherever you’re headed you can be sure your group will walk away changed as they learn basic map and compass skills, backcountry cooking, and how to camp in the wilderness using Leave No Trace principles. Beyond these learning basics, your students will gain the experience needed to be good leaders and followers. Spend a short three days and two nights on the trail, venture out for a full week, or make it a Mountains to Missions trip combining backpacking through the mountains with missions in a neighboring city. Whatever your choice, it will be unforgettable, to say the least!

OREGON:

Our backpacking adventures explore some of the most stunning mountainous areas the Pacific Northwest has to offer: the Gifford Pinchot National Forest near Mt. Adams, and the Mount Hood National Forest. If your group chooses to do a Mountain to Missions, we work with the local nonprofit Because People Matter to connect you with an incredibly significant ministry in Portland, Oregon, that your students will never forget.

WASHINGTON:

The Washington Cascades are among the most beautiful mountains in the world. Our location gives us access to the lovely Alpine Lakes wilderness with its ancient cedar forests and clear mountain lakes. We also are near the North Cascades known as the “American Alps” for the large cliff faces and spectacular glaciers. Wherever your trip takes you it will be both a stunning and impactful experience.
