We usually have 1 – 2 feet of snow on the ground throughout the winter. Snow levels will fluctuate according to temperatures and how long since the last snowstorm.
Can we have a fire?
Yes, we have portable fireplaces and wood for your use.
Should I bring my own sleds?
You can bring your own sled. However, only tubes can be used on the tubing hill. All other sleds can be used only in designated areas.
Can I bring my own skiing, snowshoe, or ice climbing gear?
Yes, you can! We can supply all the gear you might need for any adventure, but feel free to bring your own.
How young can an ice climbing participant be?
We have found that to have a good experience a student should be 15 years old or older. For someone younger than 15 please call and ask.
Is Raftboggan any fun?
Do you like sledding really fast with a bunch of people screaming? Then you might think raftboggan is fun. It’s the closest thing to a winter roller coaster experience!
Is there a warming house?
Yes, we use the bottom of our gym as the winter activity center. It has a heated room that includes bathrooms, a ping-pong table, and extra winter clothing. We also have a four-season tent located near our ice wall as a warm-up station for ice climbers.
Our staff will equip and provide the essentials for your experience (e.g. gear, food, equipment, training, insurance) and will work with your group leader for programming and other logistical needs. In addition, our staff will provide the technical and professional skills needed to provide a safe and life-changing adventure.
Our goal is to assist you in providing a memorable experience for your group that has the opportunity to be life-transforming. Whether you are trying to create unity in your church youth group or build community in your school, group home, or youth-related organization—we are with you!
Let’s adventure together!
