Retreat at Stonewater
Stonewater specializes in serving youth groups and their leaders from 10-85 people in our Chalet and Lodge. For larger groups, our campground can accommodate up to 1,000 people. We offer fully-facilitated or self-programmed retreats to help your youth group discover life in Christ and provide opportunities to grow deeper in their faith
Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking
There is nothing better than getting splashed on a hot summer day! Choose from half-day trips to seven full-day expeditions—and anything in-between. As the river carries you downstream our experienced guides will facilitate meaningful moments that will leave you with memories to laugh about and spiritual applications to reflect on.
Mountaineering and Rock Climbing
Encourage your group to go beyond their comfort zone by giving them a challenge that will leave a lasting mark on their personal confidence and journey with Christ. We offer single or multi-day rock climbing experiences that will be approachable to anyone. Or if you are ready to take on the biggest challenge of your life try mountaineering. The Cascades are known around the world as the training ground for climbers as well as a doorway for those interested in the sport. Whether your group decides to attempt summiting one of Washington’s volcanoes or a smaller but inspiring peak, mountaineering will provide your group with the chance to rely and trust each other to achieve something greater than any individual could do on their own.
Hiking and Backpacking
Take a few days to unplug from technology, pack everything into a backpack and experience the majesty of God’s creation! The conversations are real, the scenery is gorgeous and the quiet moments with God are unparalleled. Choose the desired length of your trip and we will help you find a course area to fit your group. The opportunities for a single day to extended hikes range from peaks to quiet alpine lakes, come find out for yourself the beauty of the Cascades

Our facilitators and guides customize these experiences for each group for powerful experiences in trust, communication, leadership and so much more. Choose a stand-alone day or add onto an adventure trip for an enhanced experience.

Horsemanship
Experience the beauty of the central cascades on horseback. Trail rides vary from a couple of hours to week-long trips and consist of rich spiritual application and professional horsemanship by our wranglers. Come learn to care for, ride, and increase your comfort with our beautiful horses while diving into relationships with others and Christ.
Leadership Development
Whether you are in high school or college we have opportunities for you to grow spiritually, ask the hard questions, serve others, and experience real-life leadership. Through adventure-based learning, we take the important lessons of leadership beyond the classroom with a variety of lengths of courses.
Winter Adventures
Stonewater is the type of winter wonderland you dream of as a child. We offer epic tubing, ice climbing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. For those who want to venture further, consider a multi-day Polar Bear expedition. Check us out for more!
Training and Certifications
Wilderness First Aid and CPR training are available through courses taught by certified American Health and Safety Institute (ASHI) and Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) instructors depending on location. This is practical medical learning for all experience levels. Learn to think critically during emergencies in unconventional settings and gain the skills and confidence to manage the unpredictable.
