Hi, I’m Luke!
I was born and raised in the midwest and moved to Rochester, Washington, in my sophomore year. I am a pastor’s kid, so I grew up in the church my whole life and got baptized after moving to Rochester. I never really knew what my career would be, but I loved camping, hunting, and anything else outdoors. I was very involved with the youth group at my church, a part of the worship team, and eventually became a small group leader.
Over the summer of 2021, I got to experience the six-week “Life and Leadership Training” at Youth Dynamics’ Stonewater adventure base. We went on all the different summer adventures YD offers and learned what “adventure relational youth ministry” looked like in action! God used that experience to get the ball rolling in my calling to ministry, and I love the relational adventure ministry model. The following year, I was a part of the summer staff team and learned just how much I loved adventuring in God’s playground with students! I am involved with our local community base in Rochester, and I am so pumped about what God has done and is still going to do! The teenage years are the most critical to be involved in students’ lives because this stage can be so life-altering.
My role focuses primarily on our weekly Youth Connect and cultivating relationships with middle-school students. I hope to bring more adventure activities to the Rochester area.
