The Spring FUNd Run 2020

Welcome to the Spring FUNd Run!

Race with us as we join together in the community and seek to raise operational funds! The Spring FUNd Run is a great opportunity to connect with the community in the midst of social distance, enjoy creation as we welcome a new season, and contribute finances. Help support the Youth Dynamics Adventures Idaho base as we seek to counteract some of the financial strain brought on by the COVID-19 crisis.

Along with a 5K or open category race, participants are welcome to join us for a live-stream “finish line” where we will be sharing race results, student stories, games, prizes, and raffle drawings. The live stream will also highlight the story and history of Youth Dynamics and why we do what we do.

What:

A 5k race and live-streamed event to help grow community through competition, community, and fellowship. This will be a live-streamed event featuring results, stories, drawings, you name it (you send it in)!  Join in virtually (Facebook Live or Zoom), by sending photos, video clips, and more.

Compete: Join in the racing fun to win prizes chosen during the course of our live stream event Saturday, May 16th.  Although we would love to see your face, attendance is not required to be a contender for prizes.

The Nitty-Gritty: Where is my money going?

All funds raised during this event will go toward keeping the Adventure Idaho ministry running.

Due to the ‘stay at home’ order in effect, all spring break trips have been canceled and summer bookings are down at least 60% right now. We have lost out on the chance to adventure with eight different groups equalling more than 20 days in God’s creation.

All Youth Dynamics staff either raise their personal salary or volunteer their time to help keep trip costs low, however, our adventure base relies on trip revenue to pay for operating and program costs such as paying rent, servicing equipment, maintaining insurance, retaining permits, among other things. We are feeling the financial pinch by the cancelations. Spring 2020 was slated to be the busiest spring and early summer season in Youth Dynamics Adventure Idaho’s 14-year history.

In addition to the lost revenue, we mourn the lost opportunities to build community and share life, truth, and experiences in person together. God willing, we’ll be able to adventure together face-to-face soon.
