What is a recurring gift?

A recurring gift is a regular donation where you provide Youth Dynamics with either your card information or bank information and authorize Youth Dynamics to automatically charge your account on a designated schedule.

How often are recurring gifts processed?

When you complete the online donation form, you will be prompted to select a ‘frequency’ for your recurring gift, which our system then saves and will automatically charge on that set frequency. The frequency options include monthly, quarterly, or annually.

What days are recurring gifts processed?

When you complete the online donation form, you will be prompted to select a day of the month for your recurring gift, which our system then saves and will automatically charge on that set day of the month. The options include the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th.

Can I skip a month or pause my recurring gift?

Yes! You can skip a month or you can pause your recurring gift. Please call our main office at 360-757-1337 or email us at donations@yd.org and we will be happy to update your recurring gift.

How do I change frequency of my gift (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc...)?

What is the difference between using my debit card and an ACH/direct debit? Isn’t the money coming from the same account?

Yes, the money may be coming from the same account. The difference between using your debit card and an ACH is how the money is being processed. A debit card is processed by a third-party card processor and is subject to the same fees as any other card payment type. An ACH is an electronic request that we make directly to your bank. The fee associated with an ACH is a fraction of the cost of using a debit card.

What is the processing fee for credit or debit cards?

The current processing fee for all credit or debit cards is 2.798% plus a $0.26 transaction fee.

What is the processing fee for an ACH/direct debit?

The current processing fee for an ACH/direct debit transaction is a flat $0.75 fee.

Can I choose to pay the processing fee to offset your expenses?

Currently our payment processor, BlackBaud Merchant Services, does not offer this function. However, the are looking at adding this function in the future.

Can my business, church or organization donate online?

Yes! When completing our online donation forms, please check the box that says, “Make this gift on behalf of an organization.” Then enter the “Organization Name.” Our system requires a contact person, so please write in the name of the main contact person for your organization in the “First Name” and “Last Name” boxes.

Can I send you a check instead?

Yes! When sending your check, please make the gift payable to “Youth Dynamics”. In the mem online, please write your specific designation or the staff person’s name you are supporting. Please mail all checks to:

Why can’t I just create an account and manage my information myself?

Currently, our payment processor, Blackbaud Merchant Services, does not have a donor account portal. However, they are currently developing a portal that will begin beta testing in the fall of 2022. We hope the donor portal will be available in early 2023 for you to securely manage your information and giving.



I just gave a donation online and began a new donation, but it is not going through. Why is this happening?

First, please completely close out of the donation form, refresh your browser, then try again.

Second, wait a minute before trying again. Our processor may be seeing your actions as potential fraud when you complete donations in rapid succession (one right after the other), the processor sees this as fraud and will not allow more gifts after the 4th transaction.
