About Brian
My love for the outdoors began growing up along the Mississippi River on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin, where I spent my childhood camping, canoeing, hiking, and exploring God’s creation. That passion continued through adventures in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters, time living in Alaska, and eventually making Washington State home. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Parks and Recreation Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston. Along the way, I met my wife, and together we are raising three boys. In 2020, I became involved with Youth Dynamics as the Rochester area ministry was getting started. What began as an opportunity to serve has grown into a calling, and I now serve as an Area Director.
I believe outdoor adventure creates incredible opportunities to build relationships, develop confidence, overcome challenges, and experience God’s creation. More importantly, it provides a setting where young people can discover their identity and purpose and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. My passion is to combine faith and adventure to help the next generation know Jesus, experience the outdoors, and discover the incredible life God has created for them.
